General Pocket Radio Service is abbreviated as GPRS. GPRS was first introduced by ETST in 1998. It is designed to enable data communication using the infrastructure and technology of GSM. This service can be enabled by adding some additional servers. This service is enabled in 2.5G technology. To use this service, the user will need a GPRS supported device.
